The Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School Regional Board meeting will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at 9:00 am. Location: MLWGS Adjunct Classroom #153
At this meeting, the board will recognize the MLWGS SABR Analytics team, the Dragon Chess team, and the NHS Scholarship finalist Pooja Muthuraj. Afterward, they will review the schools’ current financial reports and personnel changes and conduct a review of the strategic plan status. Scheduled for approval is the FY23 operating budget that includes a 5% staff salary increase, authorization for the director to issue personnel contracts 22-23, the FY23 student fees schedule, selected amended policies and procedures, and an amended FY23 school operating calendar.
During the first read items, the board will review the proposed slate of officers for 2022-2023 of the GS Foundation, an RFP for Housekeeping Services 2022-2023, and an RFP for Photography Services 2022-2023.
