Class of 2027 New Student Registration April 12

Dear Newest Maggie Walker Families,

Congratulations on your admission to the Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School! We are excited about your opportunity to learn and grow with us during the next four years.

The New Student Registration Evening is scheduled for Wednesday, April 12th and will be held in person at 6 pm in the auditorium. We distributed a welcome packet to students during Future Dragon Days. The information included in the welcome packet is available at the school counseling webpage as well.

Plan to arrive a few minutes early as parking can be challenging. Make sure to bring your completed Rising 9th Grader Course Registration Form to obtain department signatures and register for classes.

Please read through all of the documents as they have important information about class selection and info about our school. In particular, make sure to look at the Placement Tests PDF to see which online placement tests you will need to take. The deadline for some of these tests is earlier than registration night; it will be important to complete the tests on time so that you will know what classes to select.

We look forward to seeing you on the 12th!
