Dr. Jessica Otis, George Mason University. She will be making a presentation about the NSF-funded project “Death by Numbers.”
Dr. Jessica Otis is an Associate Professor of History and Associate Director of the Roy Rosenzweig Center for History and New Media at George Mason University. She received her MS in Mathematics and PhD in History from the University of Virginia. Her research focuses on the cultural history of mathematics, plague, and cryptography in early modern England.
