If your child is an academically oriented current 8th-grade student, then you should consider Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School.

Located in the heart of Richmond, Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School provides unparalleled educational opportunities and personalized learning.  In 2013 a Richmond Times-Dispatch editorial said that “Maggie Walker is the finest comprehensive high school — public or private — in Metro Richmond.”  Maggie Walker was ranked last year by BestSchools.org as #11 out of 100 top schools in the nation, while The Washington Post has ranked MW for several years in their Top Performing Schools With Elite Students category.  With our last graduation, 180 members of the class of 2018 earned $14.5 million dollars in scholarship offers with 9 Presidential Scholar Candidates and an average GPA of 3.98.

Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School will hold three evening informational sessions for students and families interested in knowing more about the program and the admissions process. Each session runs from 6:30 to about 8:30 PM and they begin in the Maggie Walker auditorium.
