On December 13th, from 5:30 to 7:00 PM, FIRST Robotics Team 422: The Mech Tech Dragons, from Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School will be hosting an event for the public and educational officials to visit our campus, interact with our team, tour our technical room, and learn about our initiatives for the upcoming year. Through the Legislative Open House, the Mech Tech Dragons hope to further our mission of highlighting and promoting STEM in our community by raising awareness! Our efforts are enhanced by political support and policy, and your presence would be greatly appreciated. FIRST stands for For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology, and is a national organization that prepares young people for the future through a suite of inclusive, team-based robotics programs. For over twenty years, our impassioned team of 90+ members has grown to be more than just robots, and has worked positively to impact the Greater Richmond area by increasing STEM education access, and we would love to share our successes with you and our school board.
