Mil-wigs October Update

Friday saw the Dragons entertain hundreds of people from the MLWGS and surrounding community at Fall Fest 2015.  A special thank you goes out to the committee (which includes a core group who have stayed with fall fest for the past 4 years!) including committee chair Ms. Vithoulkas.  The fest was supplemented this year by a wonderful performance stage courtesy of Henrico County!  Our students and sponsors really put on a show not only in terms of the stage performances but also in terms of the creative and delicious array of activities.

As you may know, we are in the midst of the middle school visits; thanks to those of you who have been able to come to a presentation…having a parent/student voice adds value to the presentation!

This week Ms. Todd and the SCA are sponsoring spirit week…for a complete list of activities see https://docs.google.com/document/d/1MD6aSwaj1lImMV-S4LrKayIIlE2KClRRDtlt5iuAGKw/edit?usp=sharing

Wednesday, October 14 is PSAT day.  The PSAT has changed this year in several ways…one change is that the test is longer.   Per protocol, students will receive two 5 minute breaks during the morning.  Please have your student bring some healthy snacks for consumption during breaks as we anticipate that the test will not conclude until 12:30pm.

We all know that our students and school contains an awesome array of exemplary students, families, and teachers.  While we have always kept an account of these successes, we recently added a link on our webpage to share them will a wider audience.  While it is still under construction, please visit https://mlwgs.com/successes/.

Onward!
