Mil-wigs Update

2015-04-29 14.20.18

The past several days have been awesome for the Dragons.  In addition to the fantastic national finishes of our We the People Team (2nd) and Math Modeling (5th), our History Bowl team placed 17th and our Academic World Quest team placed in the top 20 nationally.  Further, after winning the VHSL State 2A Championship, our Quiz Bowl team won the Central Virginia (public and independent school) Championship just yesterday!  Later in May, they will head to Chicago to compete nationally.  Finally, it’s election season at MLWGS; thus, officer candidates gave compelling and quite clever speeches in the commons (also on Tuesday) in order to get out the SCA vote.  We are fortunate to have wonderful sponsors who give so generously of their professional time and energy supporting these opportunities for our students.
