A website that ranks quiz bowl and academic teams by their statistical performances at various tournaments, hsqbrank.com aims to give an accurate look at the skill levels of quiz bowl teams in the United States, Canada, China and Singapore.
The publisher recently wrote “the quiz bowl team from Maggie Walker is currently ranked 10th in the world and 2nd in the state of Virginia for the 2014-15 high school quiz bowl season.” Additionally, MLWGS is “just 24 schools with two teams in the rankings; your “B” team is currently ranked 125th in the world and 7th in Virginia.”
Because the date of the results publication is 8 March, we are not certain if our recent exemplary results are included in the calculation. Regardless, Kudos are in order for Ms. Reed, Ms. Lasswell, and our BoB Squad for being among the worlds premier teams! Go Dragons!
