MLWGS Drama presents Almost Maine, November 7-9, 2019

Poster for Almost Maine

Poster for Almost MaineWelcome to Almost, Maine, a place that’s so far north, it’s almost not in the United States.  It’s almost in Canada.  And it’s not quite a town, because its residents never got around to getting organized.  So it almost doesn’t exist.  One cold, clear, winter night, as the northern lights hover in the star-filled sky above, the residents of Almost, Maine, find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and hilarious ways.  Knees are bruised.  Hearts are broken.  But the bruises heal, and the hearts mend–almost–in this delightful midwinter night’s dream. (DPS)

In John Cariani’s Almost, Maine, the people experience the life-altering power of the human heart.  Relationships end, begin, or change beyond recognition, as strangers become friends, friends become lovers, and lovers turn into strangers.  Propelled by the mystical energy of the aurora borealis and populated with characters who are humorous and sincere, Almost, Maine is a series of loosely connected tales about love sure to make you laugh in wonder. (Stage Agent)

Almost, Maine runs Thursday through Saturday, November 7-9, at 7:00 pm.  Tickets are $7 for students and $12 for adults.  Buy tickets online at https://mlwgs-am.brownpapertickets.com or with cash at the door.  We can’t wait to have you experience with our characters the mystical power of the northern lights!
