MLWGS Music classes travel to Washington, DC on April 29th for a premiere performance of Grace

On Friday, April 29th, the Maggie Walker Bands, Chorus, and Orchestra under the leadership of their teachers, are traveling to Washington, DC via Amtrak train. They will spend the morning at various museums at the National Mall. In the afternoon, students will attend a premiere performance of Grace at the Ford’s Theater. Hosted at the historic site of Lincoln’s assassination, Grace is a musical by Washington DC composer Nolan Williams, Jr. that celebrates African American food, family, and tradition.
