MLWGS Receives ROSMY Catalyst Award

ROSMY

Today our GSMA Club was presented ROSMY’s Catalyst Award.  ROSMY (Richmond Organization for Sexual Minority Youth) recognized our students, staff, and school for successfully creating a safe and supportive school culture for students dating from 2001.  MLWGS is the first and only school to receive this prestigious award.

Our school’s pioneering spirit in the early years continues and is modeled throughout the region.  In this case imitation is indeed more than a sincere form of flattery because it means that increasing numbers of young people have space and support to be themselves.
