MLWGS Regional School Board Meeting and AY24 Budget Public Hearing on Thursday, March 16 @ 9:00 am

The Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School Regional Board meeting will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at 9:00 am.  Location: Room 153 (Adjunct Classroom)

The board will recognize the girls swim team and the quiz bowl team whom both won the VHSL State Championship.  

Consent items include the school’s monthly personnel and financial reports. Action items include approval of a new trip proposal to Panama in 2024 and an update to Reg 4030-R Student Club Approval that streamlines the club proposal process.

Under their review the board will consider the annual authorization for the director to issue personnel contracts for 2023-2024, the AY24 student fee schedule, the 2023-2024 school operating calendar, and policy updates.  The board will also hold an AY24 budget public hearing during this meeting.

Persons unable to attend in person but wanting to address the Regional School Board during the public comment period are invited to use this form to submit their comments by 10:00 am, Wednesday, March 15, 2023, or email their remarks to the Board Clerk.
