MLWGS Regional School Board Meeting and FY23 Budget Proposal Public Hearing Thursday, March 17 @ 9:00 am

The Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School Regional Board meeting will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2022, at 9:00 am.  Location: MLWGS Auditorium

At this meeting, the board will recognize several winter VHSL athletic champions, a gold medalist of the National Russian Exam, and the student leadership of Newtowne Tutoring Project. Afterward, they will review the schools’ current financial reports and personnel changes and conduct a review of the strategic plan status. During first read items, the board and public will be presented with a detailed FY23 operating budget proposal for the first read along with the opportunity for comment, with reviews on other actions including FY23 student fees, an amended 22-23 operating calendar, policy updates, and the annual action that allows the director to issue personnel contracts.

Persons unable to attend in-person but wanting to address the Regional School Board during the public comment period are invited to use this form to submit their comments by 10:00 am, Wednesday, March 16, 2022, or email their remarks to the Board Clerk.
