The Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School Regional Board meeting will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at 9:00 am. Location: Room 153 (Adjunct Classroom)
The board will welcome Dr. Tamara Sterling, Petersburg Superintendent, at this meeting as its newest member. Afterward, they will elect RSB officers for 2023 along with authorizing multiple board committee memberships. Policy adoption for explicit instructional materials is requested, along with additional course proposals for AY24 and a new trip proposal for February 2023. Finally, Dr. Lowerre will discuss the school’s current strategic plan updates and Ms. Ginger O’Neil will present the annual GS Foundation 21-22 Impact Report.
