The Ultimate Teammate!

Sixth Man Tyler DeHaven (’26-Hanover)

“Have you ever been around someone that just made the team better?  In school, at work, even on the basketball court? Tyler DeHaven is that guy! Tyler is a student athlete in every way. Exceptional in the classroom and amongst his peers he is a valued member of the Maggie Walker Governor’s School Community,” said Tre Wiilliamson, the team’s coach.

This exceptionalism is on full display on the basketball court. Tyler’s attitude and competitiveness is unwavering. His commitment to his coaches and teammates is constant and positive. He puts his impact on every game that the Boys Varsity basketball team plays. Most impressively, he does it coming off the bench. Tyler does not waste a minute. He is always in the right place at the right time. He defends with passion and determination. He pushes the pace in the open court, by passing the ball to his teammates or taking it to the basketball for a game winning layup himself. Tyler’s contributions to his team are intangible!

No matter what team they’re on, everyone wants a teammate like Tyler. The Ultimate teammate, and Maggie Walker Varsity Basketball’s sixth man!
