Lauren Blake (’24, Richmond)
Lauren is a senior sprint captain for the Lady Green Dragons Track & Field program for the 2023-24 season. She has performed exceptionally well this season, having already qualified regionally in the 300m dash. Lauren is also one of the top sprinters in both the 4x200m and 4x400m relay races. In the field, Lauren is currently the top-ranked long jumper in Region B and has secured a position in the top 10 in all of Group 3.
“What makes Lauren’s performance even more impressive is that she has managed to achieve all of this after recovering from her second meniscus repair surgery in late June 2023,” said coach Ryan Webb. “Lauren’s leadership skills have been invaluable both on and off the track, and they will be especially crucial as we head into the postseason this February.”
