Network Tune-up

img_23271

Upon assuming our network manager position, Mr. Bortz ([email protected]) faced a huge slate of work.  Not only did he oversee the installation of a new virtual server, but he also facilitated the deployment of new laptops to teachers, assisted with training related to upgraded operating systems, assisted students and teachers with the usual array of end-user needs, and began to take on the challenge of updating our aging wireless network.  By winter break, our network infrastructure will be strengthened as our new server is supplemented by updated switches and as the number of wireless access points is increased from 27 to 75.  Once our network tune-up is complete, at or just after the end of the first semester we will begin to execute our plan to deploy devices to students as part of our anticipated 1-1 pilot.  Participants will be selected via a mixture of random and purposive sampling.  More information will be forthcoming once our network tune-up is complete and all systems have been tested.

Thank you for your ongoing support as our school continues advance pedagogically in support of the dynamic needs of our awesome students!
