On October 23, 2019, the Maggie Walker chapter of the Science National Honor Society Induction will be held at 11:40 am in the auditorium followed by a reception in room 153. This year 36 students will be inducted, 26 juniors and 10 seniors. In order to be invited to membership students must meet and maintain the following qualifications:
- completed community service in a science endeavor
- demonstrated leadership abilities and honorable character
- junior inductees have completed two years of the required sequence of honors-level science courses as well as enrollment in or completion of an AP or secondary-level science course
- junior inductees have maintained an un-weighted grade point average across all science courses of 3.80
- senior inductees have completed or are enrolled in a fifth science course, one of which is an AP class
- senior inductees have maintained an un-weighted grade point average of 3.70 across all science courses
