Snow Day Make-up Plan

To date we have missed 8 school days due to weather (14, 27 January, 17-20 and 26, 27 February).  We made up one of these days on Wednesday, 28 January and our school calendar includes 4 built in snow days.  Therefore, there are currently 3 school days to be made up.

Our snow day make up plan as listed on our annual school calendar calls for us to add time to each instructional day for a number of days sufficient to make up lost time.  Our protocol calls for our school day to change FROM a schedule of 8:40-3:10 TO a schedule of 8:35-3:20 (with buses leaving at 3:30).  The extended day requires 16 days to make up 1 lost instructional day.

Thus, from Wednesday, 4 March to Friday, 15 May our school day schedule will be 8:35-3:20.  Transportation directors and drivers will be advised.

If we miss additional days due to weather, then the extended schedule will be lengthened.

Because the recent snow closures reduced the number of full EVEN days, this Friday (6 March) will be an EVEN day rather than an ALL period day.
