Maggie Walker’s Scholastic Bowl team wins in the 2A Group at the Virginia High School League (VHSL) twentieth annual Scholastic Bowl on Feb. 25 held in the Sadler Center at the College of William and Mary. Walker’s team went undefeated in all their matches.
“It’s always fun when academic efforts and hard work are rewarded,” said team co-sponsor Juanita Lasswell.
Teams from around Virginia competed by answering a wide variety of questions in subjects ranging from Beethoven’s music to foreign policy, 19th-century poetry, and more.
