On the heels of AP testing, this week saw the Dragons complete SOL testing and but for a handful of SOL make-ups next week, the standardized testing season is in our wake.  Planning to join our Girls and Boys Tennis teams and our Girls and Boys Outdoor Track* teams, tonight, our Girls and Boys Soccer teams as well as our Baseball team will battle for Conference Championships.

Below are pictured the members of our teacher’s ultimate Frisbee team (self-named The Slipped Discs) who competed today during lunch against our student team for the season championship.  Counselor, Karl Zweerink commended the students on their “superior athletic fitness” and congratulated them for a “match well played.”  He blathered on about the injuries with which the teachers played…but such talk is not worthy of publication… :).  According to teacher Dickson Benesh, the teachers are still victors because their goal was to be the “penultimate ultimate champs” and “that goal was accomplished.”  Noor Matrood (Charles City) and Joe Paul (Prince George) assisted Matt McDaniel (Hanover) to organize the tournament that involved approximately 16 teams/85 participants.
