Cheers for Dr. Rachel Loving, MLWGS senior counselor, during National School Counselors Week

This week is designated as National School Counselors Week 2024, “School Counseling: Standards-Based, Student-Focused,” to focus attention on the unique contribution of our school and how students are different as a result of what school counselors do. National School Counselors Week highlights the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career.

This special week we will recognize one of our counselors each day. Today is for Dr. Rachel Loving, senior counselor, and co-department chair. “Did you know I have standards for school counseling, said Dr. Loving, “just like your teachers have standards for learning? A standard is a way to measure excellence or quality. I use my standards to develop a plan to support your success here at Maggie Walker and help you build a strong foundation for learning. Come see me if you feel like you need to build up your foundation.”
