Maggie Walker T-shirtDear Newest Maggie Walker Families,

Maggie Walker Governor’s School sent out a mailing to rising freshman families on March 29th regarding New Student Registration Night on April 23rd at 6 pm. Recently we’ve heard that several families did not receive that mailing, and suspect an issue with our postage meter. As a result, we sent an email yesterday to those families and are posting this news item today regarding registration night along with course information.

In the interest of time, we encourage you to go to our counseling webpage for new students.  All of the mailing contents and more are available at this site.

Please make sure to review all of the documents on the site carefully as they contain important information about course selection. The letter regarding online placement tests is particularly time-sensitive. For English and International Language tests, the posted due date is this Sunday, April 14th. If you are unable to complete the online test(s) by this date due to the short notice, please send an email to [email protected] for International Languages and/or to [email protected] for English.

Finally, there will be an open house for students interested in our Visual Arts department this Friday, April 12th from 5 – 7 pm. Please RSVP to [email protected] if you would like to attend.

We look forward to seeing you at our New Student Registration Night on the 23rd.

Go Dragons!
