Congratulations to Katherine Vail-Rhodes (’19-Hanover) #1 in the 2018 National Italian Contest, Level 2

The language schools listed below participated in a scholarship program for the AATI (American Association of Teachers of Italian) National Italian Exam. These schools offered a total of 6 scholarships in 2018. Each scholarship consisted of a 2-week course in one of the schools. Accommodations and tuition expenses were included. Five scholarships went to the top students in each level; and one scholarship to the teachers of those top students.

Maggie Walker’s Katherine Vail-Rhodes was one of the 2018 winners. Katherine chose Genova for her study scholarship during the summer of 2018.

Katherine is the second MLWGS student in a row to earn this honor and was recognized by the Regional School Board at their October 18th meeting which included Hanover Superintendent Dr. Michael Gill and Hanover School Board member Mr. John Axselle.
