Acting Director’s End-of-Year Message 2025

Max Smith

Dear Maggie Walker Family,

As another school year ends, it’s time to pause, reflect, and celebrate. This has been a truly remarkable year, filled with incredible accomplishments and memorable moments. Our English & VPA departments had more scholastic gold keys than ever, the Robotics team had their most successful season to date, the school had an REB winner, our Quiz Bowl team were runner-up in the state and sent two teams to nationals, We the People finished 7th in the nation, and our seniors wrapped up their journey with strength and grace, ready to take on the world.

As we head into summer, our team will take a well-earned break before diving into thoughtful reflection and planning for the year ahead. I hope each of you can also find time to unwind—connect with friends and family, explore new places, try new foods, and recharge.

To our graduates: farewell and best wishes as you begin your next chapter—go out and make a difference. To our returning students and families: enjoy the summer, and we look forward to welcoming you back in August!

 Best wishes,

 Dr. Max Smith
