Director’s message for Freshmen Orientation August 27th

Dr. Lowerre, Director

Dr. Lowerre, DirectorI am excited to congratulate and welcome you to the school year 2019-2020 at Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School.  The first day of your high school experience begins Tuesday, September 3rd

In order to get the school year off to a great start, freshmen are invited to an orientation on August 27th, 2019.  In addition to receiving class schedules, freshmen will also have the opportunity to meet their teachers and classmates.  Activities designed to help incoming parents gain a better grasp of procedures at MLWGS and to connect them with staff and current parent leaders are also embedded in the orientation.  Parking is available in the lower student lot which is accessible via Lombardy Street.  You can access a full account of upcoming events by accessing our school calendar from our website https://mlwgs.com/calendar/.

The entire Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School community looks forward to your arrival.  We can’t wait to support you as you join The Dragon Nation.

Go Dragons!
