Director’s Message Regarding School Closing

Dr. Lowerre, Director
Concern about COVID-19 (coronavirus) has created a rapidly evolving environment where changes are being made quickly in the interest of public health.

As you have heard, the Governor has closed all Virginia K-12 Schools for the remainder of the school year.  By his order, Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School will be closed for the remainder of the school year through June 12th, 2020.

We realize this creates many questions about many different topics.  I respectfully request that you give the school leadership time to process all of these issues and I assure you that we will be back in contact as we work through it all.  For now, please focus on remaining safe with your families.

Stay safe,

Dr. Robert Lowerre
