Director’s Search Update

Speech and debate teams 2026

We have received significant interest in the position of Director of the Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School since the position was first advertised in December 2016.  In an effort to recruit the best qualified applicants, we will continue to advertise the position this month in various publications, such as the Richmond Times-Dispatch, Education Week, AASPA, and SchoolSpring, as well as advertise it with the Virginia Department of Education.  Applications will continue to be accepted into February.  Subsequently, interviews will be scheduled with the best qualified applicants.
