Director’s Winter Break Message

Dear Dragon Nation,

We have once again made it to the Winter Break!  What a fabulous first semester it has been!  We enjoyed an awesome rain-soaked Fall Festival, a fun Spirit Week, a creative Homecoming Dance, and the Freshmen lock-in.  Throughout all of the fun, we have kept up with our academics and seen the triumph of our fall sports teams, including a State Championship.  Not too shabby at all!

This time of year is a good time to reflect upon our lives and to take stock of what we have, especially when there is so much suffering in the world today.  I think that when we take a good look around, we will find that we still have so much for which to be thankful.  It is easy to lose sight of the good when all one sees on the news is so depressing, but our MLWGS kids are still going to have a huge impact on the future, and that is worth celebrating!

I hope you and your family enjoy a restful and safe winter break and a very happy New Year.
