Dragons travel to U of R for visiting Artist and Educator from France

Last Wednesday, February 12th, students from Ms. Terrana’s Pre AP and AP French classes visited the University of Richmond to see a French monologue by Michel Djiwonou called “My Father’s Trip” (“Le voyage de mon père”).  Michel Djiwonou is a screenwriter, actor, and principal of an elementary school in France who came to U of R thanks to Dr. Ladia Radi, Associate Professor of French and Italian.  Dr. Radi reached out to Maggie Walker Governor’s School with an invitation to this event.  She also visited our school and set up a face to face video conference with Djiwonou for students and their teacher.

Ms. Terrana reports; “students truly enjoyed the opportunities” and Dr. Radi and I plan on working together again in the near future.
