Graduation Rehearsal

Friday, Jun. 13, 9:00am, Carpenter Theatre, 600 E. Grace St.

Seniors must arrive no later than 8:45am and report to Rhythm Hall (enter by the right front entrance). Rehearsal will begin at 9:00am sharp. Any student who misses rehearsal will not be permitted to walk in the actual graduation ceremony, so please be on time. Practice is usually completed by 11:30 am, but will take as long as needed to perfect the process. Please do not plan anything that requires leaving early or being gone by a certain time.

Parking information and cost was provided in the envelope with graduation tickets. Please consider carpooling to keep down expenses. Do not park at metered spots in order to avoid delaying rehearsal by leaving to feed the meter.

Graduation
Friday, Jun. 13, 3:00pm, Carpenter Theatre, 600 E. Grace St.

Graduates must arrive at Rhythm Hall by 2:00pm; enter by the right front entrance. Parking information was included in the envelope with graduation tickets. A copy of the map is also available on the MLWGS itslearning page.

Parents should budget around three hours for the ceremony and farewells following. No guest will be allowed entrance without a ticket. Graduates do not need a ticket.
Perhaps the most important clothing decision for the day is shoes. Dress shoes and socks for the boys and low-heeled dress shoes for the girls are the best choices; please, no “flip-flops” or athletic shoes. Additionally, decorations on mortarboards are absolutely prohibited. Note: The “collar” that comes with the graduation gown will not be used.

Doors to the Carpenter Theatre will open at 2:30pm. Guests should enter through the front doors and must have a ticket to attend graduation. Seating is not reserved. Handicap seating is available in multiple locations; please see one of the ushers at the door upon arrival if this seating is required.

Photographs during the ceremony are only allowed from the seats. The Richmond CenterStage will not permit spilling into the aisles for this activity, and they enforce this quite seriously. However, Lifetouch will be taking pictures of each individual student as he/she receives his/her diploma. This year Lifetouch will mail a proof picture directly to each family with ordering information attached. A photo proof will be available online at www.events.lifetouch.com approximately 10 days after the ceremony.

Immediately after the ceremony, families are permitted to linger in Rhythm Hall for graduation photos and farewells. Graduation activities should conclude by 6:00pm.
