FY24 VIRTUAL Budget Town Hall for Public Input, December 14 @ 6 pm

Last month, the school solicited community input regarding its budget priorities for the 2023-2024 academic year (FY24) at Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School and requested suggestions be submitted on a digital survey.

On Wednesday, December 14 at 6 pm Director, Dr. Bob Lowerre, will host a VIRTUAL FY24 Budget Development Town Hall (<link embedded here) that will be open to all interested stakeholders.  The purpose is to provide another format for input, comment, or asking questions.  Dr. Lowerre will consider all suggestions submitted from both formats and will use your ideas to help improve operations at MLWGS.

Each fall MLWGS develops a budget proposal for the next academic year that attempts to include constituent priorities. Comments will be shared with the Regional School Board, the Superintendent’s Steering Committee, and the school administration as they work to create a budget that reflects the cost of operation, programming, and staffing.
