Induction Ceremony for Language Honor Societies Wednesday, May 1st

Students at tableMLWGS Language Honor Societies Induction Ceremony will be held Wednesday, May 1st at 11:30 am in the auditorium. 

The Language Honor Societies are national organizations for high school students that seek to honor students who demonstrate excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.  This year  220 Maggie Walker students will be inducted into nine different Language Honor Societies.    The students selected for induction have met the rigorous criteria set forth by the national language organizations.

The induction ceremony will include opening remarks from Dr. Lidia Radi, Associate Professor of French and Italian, University of Richmond and Ellie Palazzolo, University of Richmond student and 2015 Maggie L. Walker graduate.  After the induction, a reception will be held in the area outside the auditorium.

Faculty sponsors of the various MLWGS Language Honor Societies include Mrs. Stephanie Welles, Mrs. Teresa Franson, Ms. Susan Hefty, Mrs. Sharon Meng, Mr. Tadao Uchisawa, Mr. Steven Ross, Mrs. Dawn Grois, Mrs. Carlisa Gunter, and Mr. Michael White.
