Maggie Walker girls indoor track wins 2nd place at the VHSL State Championship

Congratulations, Dragons!  Great job at the VHSL State Championship held at Liberty University, Monday, February 26th and Tuesday, February 27th taking second place team with many individual event medalists.

The girls were only projected to score 22 points as a team and finish in about 10th place. But they were at their best when it mattered most and scored 54 points to take State runner-up honors! A score of +32 over projected in a state level competition’s is unheard of and the ladies did it all in the field events and relays. The captains lead their team incredibly, and everyone took advantage of the opportunities they were given to make this happen!
