MLWGS Art Students at the Smithsonian

Over one hundred MLWGS Art and Photography students toured several of the art museums in Washington DC this past Friday.  Students visited the National Gallery of Art, the Hirshhorn Museum, the American Art Museum, and the National Portrait Gallery.  Photography students also took this opportunity to photograph the unique environment and architecture of this historic city.  By experiencing these works of art in person, art students were able to gain a much deeper appreciation of the technique, color, and scale of these masterpieces.

Special thanks to the Governor’s School Foundation for their support which helped reduced the cost for all students.
