MLWGS at the National Finals of We the People, April 13-15

Medals

The We the People: The Citizen and Constitution National Finals is a national academic competition that allows students to display the civic knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary to effectively participate in our constitutional democratic republic through simulated congressional hearings. Students testify as constitutional experts before panels of judges acting as congressional committees scoring the groups through a performance-based assessment. Each class is divided into six groups based on the six units of the We the People: The Citizen & the Constitution high school textbook. The National Finals are being held April 13 through 15, 2024 in Leesburg, Virginia.

MLWGS won the WTP national title in 2023, adding to its other four national titles (5 total) during its 25 appearances at the We the People competition’s 35-year history, and a national top-10 team for most of the other years.

To the 2024 team…you have prepared for this challenge all year, we think you are ready. Go show everyone what you know!
