MLWGS Drama invites you to attend the fall mainstage production of Disney’s High School Musical this week, November 20-22! Moving the musical from the spring semester to the fall has allowed us to use a live pit band for the first time since the 2019-2020 school year, expanding performance opportunities for student musicians and truly supporting the collaborative nature of live theatre. Kudos to our own Joe Revell for rehearsing and conducting the pit in addition to teaching the music to all of the actors.
Public performances will be held on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, November 20-22, at 7 pm.
The cast consists of the following 24 students, some of whom are making their MLWGS Drama debuts:
Ellie Agnello, Keegan Blake, Annie Bosher, Imogen Campbell, Liv Chambers, Helena Damer, Mynnie Edmond, Wren Finck, Brennan Harbour, Carson Holbert, RJ Matos, Lolu Nzombola, Charlotte Oristian, Juliette Paoloni, Angel Pena Campos, Ansley Plaisted, Elena Pound, Hannia Ramos-Chavez, Rajguru Rohan, Sophia Runberg, Zhané Strickland, Veda Urban, Scarlett Wharff, and Phoebe Widmer.
We are thrilled to have the following student musicians in the pit band:
William Canizales, Nasik Hobbs, Addie Modrzynski, Nuveena Sooriyaarachchi, Abe Stubblefield, and Elliott Smith.
The set for the show was designed by Sophia Runberg and Rohan Rajguru. The lighting was designed by Lily Voorhees. Costumes were designed by Wren Finck, Nate Stevens, and Jaanvi Kanda. Props were designed by Helena Damer and Elise Eason. Sound design was provided by Frankie Monroe. Hair & makeup was designed by Liv Chambers. Abby Barnett was our stage manager, assisted by Lorelai Davies and Bridgette Hyra. Choreography was provided by Amanda Kronenberg, music direction was provided by Joe Revell, and stage direction was provided by Desirée Dabney.
