MLWGS girls’ tennis competes in the VHSL State Championship Semi-Final match on Tuesday

We have good news about our girls’ tennis team! They won the Division 3 Regional final and have advanced to the state tournament. Additionally, Kirby Westerfield (’22-Hanover) won the regional singles tournament, and Kirby and Naadia Rashid (’23-Chesterfield) won the regional doubles tournament.

The VHSL state tournament began last Friday with the team winning a quarterfinal match against New Kent. Next up, the team plays Tabb High School in a semi-final match at Hermitage High School on Tuesday at 4 pm.
