This past Saturday Maggie Walker sent six teams to compete in VCU’s annual winter Quiz Bowl tournament. Our A team of Risshi Naavaal-24′-Henrico, Liam Reed-’24-Chesterfield, Brenden Stremler-’25-Chesterfield, and Eric Hu-’24-Henrico, came in second overall in the tournament and two of our JV teams took first and second in the JV division. David Lins-’25-Chesterfield, led Bridget Finley-’27-Henrico, Rohan Neelakantan-’27-Henrico, and MG Turner-’26-Henrico to an undefeated first place and, following them closely, were Joel Pritchard-’26-Chesterfield, Ty Wiggins-’27-Henrico, and Bladen Kidd-’27-Richmond, led by Lex Smirnow-’25-Richmond.
The future is bright for these underclassmen! Extra applause for David Lins, who was the fourth highest scoring individual player in the entire tournament out of 180!
