The next meeting of the full Regional School Board of Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at 9:00 am. The meeting is on the MLWGS campus in Room 153.
During the meeting, the board will recognize Platinum Distinction for MLWGS with AP’s 2024 School Honor Roll with Dr. Rachel Loving and Kimberly Forquer.
The agenda for the meeting includes a review of current financial reports, personnel changes, and assessing the progress of the current strategic plan. Additionally, the board will be requested to approve a trip proposal to France during the spring of 2025, policy updates, and a proposal for unused snow days if available next year.
The board will be provided their division slot commitment letters for AY26 which the director uses to build the next operating budget. Lastly, the director of the MLWGS Foundation will present their annual impact report that covers enrichment they provided to the MLWGS program.
Lastly, the board will review their annual self-evaluation feedback.
