MLWGS Scholar-Athlete of the Week January 22, 2024 – Boys Basketball Luke Mauzy

Congratulations Luke Mauzy!

Luke Mauzy, a senior guard and co-captain of the boys basketball team, belongs to the Class of 2024 from Chesterfield. According to Coach Rickey Barefoot, “Luke is the leading scorer on the team and one of the hardest working players I have ever coached.” It’s a high compliment, considering Coach Barefoot has been coaching for many years!

Luke is the respected leader and the backbone of our basketball team. He conducts himself with class both on and off the court, serving as an excellent representative for Maggie Walker.
