Tennis – Ella Wiatt, ’26 Goochland

Ella Wiatt is a senior who helped lead Maggie Walker to 3 state titles during her time on the team and hopes to add a 4th this current season. In 2026, Ella is 7-1 playing at line one for us, an incredible achievement, and was featured in the RTD for her play. Ella is also a captain, stepping fully into the leadership role this season.

Our team often goes as Ella goes. When she plays well, the team follows her. Ella is also very busy outside of school. She often plays tennis in the mornings and also does taekwondo, achieving the rank of black belt. She is a member of the national honor society, the art honor society, and the Chinese honor society. She has also won gold keys for two paintings and a portfolio.

Matthew Ruskan coaches Ella.
