Alina Laraway, ’26-Henrico, Cross Country
“After closing her junior year with a breakout performance at the Group 3 Outdoor Track & Field Championships, Alina Laraway (’26-Henrico) has been on fire to start her senior year,” said coach Ryan Webb. “She has been the top finisher for the Lady Green Dragons in all three competitions so far this season, earning top 12 individual finishes in both 5k races, producing the team’s fastest split at the RVA Relays, and leading her teammates to a dominant team title at the Patrick Henry Invitational.”
Alina’s 19:52 season best sees her ranked 14th in all of Group 3, and 2nd in Region B. With the biggest meets still on the horizon, Alina will be looking to lead her team back to the top of the Regional ranks and will be seeking her first All-State award in Cross Country this November.
“Alina is training and racing with the most determination and confidence I have ever seen from her,” added her other coach, Jim Holdren. “I look forward to an exciting senior year.”
