MLWGS Speech team impresses at State Tournament

Speech States 2025

On Saturday, March 29, 2025, Vrinda Shah, Henry Erda, Lolu Nzombola, and their coach, Erin MacPherson, represented Maggie Walker at the VHSL Speech State Tournament at Lafayette HS.

Our Final Rankings:

  • Vrinda Shah (’27-Henrico) – 3rd Place in Extemporaneous Speaking 
  • Henry Erda (’26-Charles City) – 5th Place in Original Oratory
  • Lolu Nzombola (’27-Chesterfield) – 4th Place in Humorous Dramatic Interpretation

We are so proud of their hard work and dedication to our school and our Speech & Debate Team!
