MLWGS students build ramp for residents in need

Ten members from The MLWGS RAMPS Club accompanied by their sponsor, Athletic Director Paige Hawkins, completed an installation of handicap access ramps on Saturday, March 5th, providing a safe entrance for residents of Henrico that live with health and mobility issues.

Well done student volunteers:

Carson Wang, Club President (’23-Henrico)

Ryan Wen (’23-Henrico)

Sophia Pareti (’24-Chesterfield)

Jonathan Bierly (’23-Henrico)

Sam O’Brien (’23-Richmond)

Sam Sneddon (’23-Richmond)

Madison Lathrop (’23-Chesterfield)

Lorenzo Galang (’22-Chesterfield)

Zak Kuhn (’23-Richmond)

Alex Boag (’23-Richmond)

RAMPS Club helps to build accessibility ramps for those without the means to afford it themselves. Materials needed to complete the project are ordered from Ramps by students and are based upon the design need of the recipient.

Students involved learned the value of community service and teamwork to accomplish this project.
