MLWGS TAKES 1ST PLACE AT VHSL GIRLS SWIMMING REGIONAL & STATE CHAMPIONSHIP 2016

The Maggie Walker Girls Swim Team earned a first place finish earlier at Regionals and then at the VHSL Swim Championship on February 21st. Coached by Deanna Gulick (’10 – MLWGS Alum), the team did great scoring 394 to the silver finisher’s 315. The 400 free style relay team came in 1st place at 10 seconds faster than the 2nd place finisher. Congratulations to the entire team on a great season.

Olivia Ratliff earned four 1st place finishes

State competitors include:  Eva Beck (’19-Richmond), Isabella Dula (’17-Henrico), Lori Horning (’16-Chesterfield), Quinn Keatley (’19-Chesterfield), Christine Kemmerly (’17-Goochland), Kaylie Lundgren (’18-Richmond), Gabriela Monastario (’16-Hanover), Lauren Parker (’16-Henrico), Olivia Ratliff (’17-Richmond), Sylvia Simms (’19-Richmond), and Olivia Willis (’19-Chesterfield).
