On Thursday, May 2nd, The Maggie Walker Jazz Ensemble traveled to Virginia Beach to participate in the South Side Jazz Assessment. They were awarded an overall rating of Excellent and an average judge’s score of 85/100. Keriann Slayton and Varun Mandgi received the All-Star Big Band Certificate for their superior performances on Alto Saxophone and Baritone Saxophone. Congratulations to all our talented Maggie Walker Musicians!
