As most Dragons are starting to enjoying their summer break, five of their classmates were recommended for participation in a month-long extensive educational opportunity sponsored by the Virginia Department of Education and Gifted Services. The Summer Residential Governor’s School programs provide rising gifted high school juniors and seniors with an intensive experience.
Students will live on campus this summer for up to four weeks where they will participate in classroom and laboratory work, field study, research, and individual and group projects and performances, seminars with noted scholars, and visiting artists and other professionals.
We hope our Dragons have an outstanding experience at their chosen academy.
Student applications to this program are managed by Joy Davis Cobb, Counselor.
