“The MLWGS Mech Tech Dragons team 422 did very well this weekend,” said sponsor Mark Sailer.
Our robotics team performed exceptionally well, placing first during the qualification rounds and serving as the first alliance team captain. They went on to win the event! Additionally, the team earned the District Championship Impact Award, and Sophia Santos was recognized as a Dean’s List finalist. Furthermore, they became the first team to achieve the maximum number of Championship qualification points. As a result of their outstanding performance, the team has now risen to the top 15 in the world.
The team will compete next week in Houston at the FIRST Championship (aka World Championship).
