SCA Chili Cook-Off at MLWGS, January 15th

Speech and debate teams 2026

The SCA will be hosting a Chili Cook-off on January 15 from 4:00-5:15pm.

There will be two separate contests:  one for a traditional meat chili and one for a vegetarian chili.  The winners will be decided by a judge’s panel on appearance, originality, smell, and taste, of course, and announced by 5pm.  (The judges will not know which chilis belong to which clubs in order to avoid bias.)  The winnings (to be determined by entry fees and total sales) will divided as follows:

  • 25% to the meat chili winner
  • 25% to a community organization that the meat chili winner selects
  • 25% to the vegetarian winner
  • 25% to a community organization that the vegetarian chili winner selects
